SYSTEM

Filtration produced by the retention of dirt particles in the silica sand layer created in the filter element that runs along the filter bed, throughout its entire depth, ideal for waters with a high load of solids, algae, and other organic matter.

EQUIPMENT

All our automatic heads are equipped with manifolds, pressure gauges, suction cups, hydraulic valves, seals, and hardware, as well as an automatic safety mesh filter at the filtered water outlet to protect the system.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

  • Body: Carbon steel.
  • Collectors: Carbon steel or polyethylene.
  • Filter element: Various types of silica sand, activated carbon, anthracite, basalt, etc.
  • Filtration system: Polypropylene collector arms/squeegees.
  • Screws: Zinc-plated.
  • Gaskets: 60° Shore synthetic nitrile rubber.
  • Cleaning system: Automatic backwashing.

SURFACE TREATMENT OF STEEL

The carbon steel elements receive internal and external treatment with a pre-shot blasting of the surface grade SA 2.5, then are pre-treated with phosphate before undergoing electrostatic painting with several layers of epoxy polyester powder paint.

FILTERING ELEMENT

Silica sand, activated carbon, anthracite, basalt, etc. in different granules according to filtration needs.

CLEANING

Cleaning is done in the opposite direction to filtration, opening the drain valve and flushing out all accumulated dirt. The system is automatic, using cleaning valves. Washing is completely uniform thanks to the collector arms or strainers that cover the entire surface of the filter sand.

The flow rates depends on the water quality. It functions with manifolds, valves, manometres, suction cups, gaskets and silica sand.
