SYSTEM

Filtration produced by the retention of dirt particles in the silica sand layer created in the filter element that runs along the filter bed, throughout its entire depth, ideal for waters with a high load of solids, algae, and other organic matter.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

  • Body: Carbon steel.
  • Filter element: Various types of silica sand, activated carbon, anthracite, basalt, etc.
  • Filter system: Polypropylene collector arms/strainers.
  • Screws: Zinc-plated.
  • Gaskets: 60° Shore synthetic nitrile rubber.
  • Cleaning system: Automatic or manual backwash.

SURFACE TREATMENT OF STEEL

The carbon steel elements receive internal and external treatment with a pre-shot blasting of the surface grade SA 2.5, then are pre-treated with phosphate before undergoing electrostatic painting of several layers of epoxy polyester powder paint for food use.

FILTERING ELEMENT

Silica sand, activated carbon, anthracite, basalt, etc. in different granules according to filtration needs.

CLEANING

Cleaning is done in the opposite direction to filtration, opening the drain valve and flushing out all accumulated dirt. The system can be automated with the use of cleaning valves. Washing is carried out completely uniformly thanks to the collector arms or strainers that cover the entire surface of the filter sand.

Technical specifications

Functions with manifolds in polyethylene PEAD, galvanized steel or steel covered with exopy polyester painting. 

The flow rates depends on the water quality. The filtration system functions with manifolds, valves, manometres, suction cups, gaskets and silica sand.
